Teeth Whitening, or “bleaching”, has been available for many years. However, Dr. Biegel has never felt quite satisfied with the products available, until now. Dr. Biegel has tried to whiten her own teeth, many times. One of the possible side effects of bleaching can be sensitivity, or “zingers” in the teeth after bleaching. After many attempts, she had resigned herself to thinking she just would never whiten her teeth again.
And then, she read the science behind KOR products. This whitening system is very different, chemically, then other whitening systems. KOR products are designed, with sensitivity in mind. KOR also has its own desensitizing solution. KOR has a different protocol, or technique, then the other whitening systems as well. So, Dr. Biegel attempted, ONE MORE TIME, to whiten her teeth, as well as a patient who also suffered from sensitivity.
About KOR: This whitening system is made without any preservatives in its product. The preservatives are thought to contribute significantly to the sensitivity found during the whitening process. It is made, shipped, and stored all in refrigeration. The company has also developed different products, depending on the severity or the condition of the teeth prior to bleaching. Therefore, it is necessary to have a consultation (free), to determine which system is recommended, and to quote a price.

So…Dr. Biegel was willing to try to bleach, one more time!
After doing a two week at home bleaching trays and one session in chair whitening, Dr. Biegel’s teeth are as white, or even whiter, than when she was a teenager! Dr. Biegel confesses…she’s not the greatest dental photographer….but these are actual pictures taken at the office:
After one hour in chair whitening session, the color then jumped from A2 to A1. And, by following the KOR protocol for sensitivity, her teeth are NOT sensitive!
Dr. Biegel’s patient, who also suffered with general sensitivity on a daily basis, was a bit more challenging. First, the sensitivity was aggressively treated, to the point that he was no longer sensitive. This was done with several different products.
After two weeks at home bleaching, he was shade A1. He did have some sensitivity and zingers, which have been treated and he is doing well!
